“Why We Love NYC” Partner Spotlight: Godspell on Broadway

We are almost two weeks away from our very special NYC pop culture trivia night with Pat Kiernan at The Bell House in Brooklyn in January 25th, and I want to take the time to highlight all of the incredible partners who have come together to make this very unique and exciting event possible!

As mentioned in a previous post on why we are deviating from producing corporate event entertainment to host a large-scale public trivia night celebrating New York City, we wanted to ensure that attendees would enjoy a fully-immersive NYC experience, complete with one of the city’s most recognizable and beloved media personalities, great Gotham-centric trivia questions and a cache of “quintessential NYC” prizes – and what is more quintessential New York than a Broadway show?

The rock musical Godspell first opened off-Broadway over 40 years ago, and following it’s first Broadway production in 1976, is currently enjoying a revival on the Great White Way at the Circle in the Square Theater. The current production of this beloved classic from Stephen Schwartz, Grammy and Academy Award-winning composer of Wicked and Pippin, stars Hunter Parrish (Spring Awakening, Showtime’s Weeds), Telly Leung (Glee) and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (Hannah Montana, Camp Rock) featuring a Tony-nominated score filled with the popular hits Day By Day, Learn Your Lessons Well and Turn Back, O Man.

Nobody should live in New York City without having experienced the energy and excitement of a Broadway show, and we are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Godspell on Broadway for “Why We Love NYC!”
