6 Questions Every Team Building Event Recap Questionnaire Should Ask
Team building event recap questionnaire
While having a great time together and getting to know one another is vital, he most important goal of any office group bonding activity in New York City or anywhere is to ensure that the team takes the skills and experiences they have acquired, and puts it to use back at the office. As such, a comprehensive recap is essential to help obtain feedback directly from you, the organizer, as well as the participants themselves, to assess just how much of an impact the event had.
Here are the six questions every attendee of a team building activity should be asked via questionnaire once the event has concluded:
- 1. What surprised you? – Here is a great opportunity to learn about your attendees’ expectations, and see whether they were unmet, met, or exceeded
- 2. Is there anything which could have been done differently? – What could have been done to make for a more positive, impactful experience for your group?
- 3. Was the event a success? – Hopefully, you will have identified clear goals and objectives for the event in advance. Were these achieved?
- 4. What went particularly well? – Which aspects of the event do you/your attendees feel were exceptional? Ask attendees to explain
- 5. What will you remember the most about the event? – Is there any part of the event which made a significant impact? If so, what/how?
- 6. Do you feel more comfortable with individual colleagues and/or the team as a whole? – Regardless of the corporate team building activity, NYC or anywhere, if nothing else the experience should help release workplace tension and promote people getting along better/being more productive
You ultimately want the experience to have created a positive memorable event which boosts morale, teamwork and the bottom line long-term. I’m sure you can think of a thousand more questions to ask following your event – however, when you boil it all down to what you REALLY want to know, it really distills to these six questions above.
