Recap: Law Firm Kelley Drye Rewards Staff with Game Night
Office game night NYC
Yesterday, TrivWorks was honored to be invited to be a part of law firm Kelley Drye & Warren’s annual staff reward night – and what a night it was!
Held on the 27th floor of a gorgeous Midtown Manhattan skyscraper, employees from all areas of the firm – law partners & associates, administrative staff, IT and everything in between – were invited to participate in a fun and festive evening, designed to reward their hard work as well as provide a chance to socialize with other departments.

It was our first event with Kelley Drye, and I was blown away not only by how elegant the space was, but at how far the planning team went to ensure that this was a full and proper “game night” complete with nostalgic board games, ping pong tables, a Wii station and even basketball hoops! A full bar and passed/stationed hors-d’oeuvres were at the ready, and by the time the trivia portion of the evening was to kick off, everyone was in the right mood!

After settling into place and coming up with hilarious team names, we dived into an hour of pop culture-themed trivia, which had been custom-designed for the diverse group made of mixed ages, departments, and length of employment. In between rounds while score sheets were tabulated, we asked for volunteers to come in front of the room for gameshow-style 1-on-1 trivia, which led to more than a few laughs and memorable moments to talk about later!
When the final results were announced, it turned out we had a tie – and what better way to determine the overall winner than with a proper dance-off! (pro tip: it helps to know The Macarena).
It was truly an awesome event, and I was so thrilled we could be a part of it. I have only worked a few full-blown NYC company game nights such as this one, and I have to say, Kelley Drye did it right – if you want to thank staff and boost morale while allowing your people to get to know one another, I can’t think of a better way to do it!
