The 3 Greatest Values TrivWorks Offers

Since founding TrivWorks over 15 years ago, I’ve prided myself on being a “premium brand.” I really want to differentiate what I do as a trivia team building and corporate entertainment professional, with what local bar quiz hosts do. I like to think with each passing year I’ve widened that gulf, adding to my experience, client list and other credibility metrics.

However, the competition has also steadily grown as well. When I first started hosting trivia at bars in New York City back in 2006, there were very few “quizmasters” around – and none servicing exclusively corporate clients. That’s changed. Trivia nights have grown in popularity in the ensuing two decades, and especially since covid, anyone with a Webcam and a ream of questions can claim to be a pro.

On top of that, there seems to be a race among these vendors to see who can charge the least possible amount for their services. I charge a lot more than most of these other providers – but like anything, you get what you pay for. So what exactly does TrivWorks offer that these budget vendors don’t? It basically comes down to three service values, each of which I’ll explore in detail below.

Professional Emcees

Perhaps more than anything else, the greatest value I provide my clients with are professional emcees. I won’t be sending a local bar trivia host, or an actor I found on Craig’s List, or a guy who knows a guy who recommended a guy. Rather, my events are only hosted by seasoned, professional emcees, with years of experience leading trivia for corporate audiences.

I’m very picky about whom I work with, because if it’s not me in front of my clients, then it’s someone who REPRESENTS me – who in turn represents you. For that reason, anyone who hires TrivWorks can rest assured that whomever is going to be leading their event will be clean, professional, and highly skilled. You can breathe easy knowing that the emcee will arrive on time, will look polished, and shall deliver a smooth event from start to finish, because he or she knows exactly what they’re doing. Not every service provider can guarantee that, but I can.

Customized Content

TrivWorks events are always customized. Always. It doesn’t matter how big or small the event is, whether you’ve been planning it for months or hired me last-minute. The heart of what I do is customization. Why? Because that’s how we can deliver an impactful experience. By tailoring the questions to ensure they’re appropriate and relevant to the audience and occasion, we can guarantee that there’s something for everyone. It never feels generic, or unsuitable for the attendees.

Customizing takes both time and know-how, and this is where my years of experience really comes into play. Having worked with so many types of clients across virtually every industry –startups to Fortune 500 companies, small nonprofits to multinational NGOs – I know what works, and what doesn’t. TrivWorks puts in this extra effort that not every vendor does, guaranteeing the experience will be uniquely fun and memorable for all in attendance.

Customization extends beyond the trivia questions, by the way. I always include my clients’ logos and event names on our visuals (answer packets, PowerPoint Decks, Google Forms, etc.). If there’s anything else I can do to personalize the event, I will. I just had an inquiry yesterday about a yacht rock-themed trivia event this summer, and you’d better believe I’ll be wearing my white pants and mustache when I host it!

Turnkey Format

My events are designed to be turnkey. What does that mean? Simply that when you hire TrivWorks, you don’t have to worry about anything. That’s my mantra as an entertainment and team building professional. I want my services to be as simple and low-maintenance as possible. When you sign on with me, everything is a breeze; from contract signing to customizing, setup through event wrap, the experience of my client contact is EASY.

Why is this important? Because you’ve got plenty of other things to worry about related to your event, and I want to take this portion off of your plate completely. As an industry professional who was in client service long before starting TrivWorks, this is second nature for me. I anticipate needs, am highly responsive, and have everything down in a way that’s intentionally built to be simple. My reputation as a vendor is one where my clients have no drama, no stress, and will know that everything will run perfectly from beginning to end.

End Result: A Highly Enjoyable, Engaging Experience

I’ve proven time and again that melding professional emcees, custom content and a turnkey platform results in a successful trivia event. Combined with my 15+ years of specialized experience, I guarantee my clients an event that is truly unique and memorable, which cannot be replicated by a “budget” vendor. Of course, I have much more that I offer as well – celebrity hosts, fresh formats, etc. – however, these are the three essential ingredients which are used in every event I produce, which I believe set TrivWorks head and shoulders apart from the rest.
