Special Event: “Kings of Kings County” Trivia Night at Green-Wood Cemetery!
In a very special event, we invite all Brooklynites to join us at a highly unique trivia night: “Kings of Kings County” trivia at Green-Wood Cemetery!
Ever since Hurricane Sandy forced us to cancel our highly-anticipated “Permanent New Yorkers” Halloween trivia night – intended to be Green-Wood’s first-ever trivia event, as well as perhaps the first trivia night in ANY cemetery – we’ve been looking for the right opportunity to return, and next week we are thrilled to invite all trivia-loving Brooklynites out for one absolutely amazing evening!
The event will kick off with a truly unique Green-Wood experience: a guided “twilight” tour of the grounds, including a visit to some of the cemetery’s most famous permanent residents. We will then head into the historic chapel, where TrivWorks founder David Jacobson will lead a fun & festive trivia event, testing you on your knowledge of all things Brooklyn: history, geography, pop culture references, and of course some of the sites just visited on the tour. We’ll have plenty of prizes to give away throughout as well!
We are delighted to also be partnering with Brooklyn Brewery to keep attendees happily imbibed, as well as Brooklyn Historical Society to provide some fun facts about the borough for us to work into the event – it’s going to be an absolute blast, we hope to see you there!
