As we announced earlier this month, TrivWorks kicks off our 2014 public trivia night series at The Bell House in Brooklyn on Wednesday, March 5th to produce our first mega event of the year, appropriately timed for awards season: Pat Kiernan’s Red Carpet Trivia Night!

With an expected sellout crowd of 300 in attendance, our special public events are the largest trivia nights in New York City. For those who have never joined us at The Bell House or need a quick refresher, here is a useful FAQ:

What time does the event start? – Doors are at 7pm, with a planned 7:30pm event start

What time does the event end? – We aim to end at aprx. 9:30pm

Am I guaranteed a seat? – Please note, The Bell House is a mixed seated/standing venue, and there are NOT enough seats for everybody – as such, please arrive early for best seating options (we will also be piping in the audio into the Front Lounge for those who prefer to sit there)

What are the trivia questions about? – Pat will be asking trivia about pop culture’s greatest award winners: people, movies, TV shows, music, Broadway, books and more, as well as memorable moments from awards shows themselves

What is the event format? – This will be a team trivia contest, with Pat announcing multiple rounds of trivia questions for the entire room, as well as 1-on-1 trivia for a select number of attendees (see below) – EVERYBODY in attendance will play!

Can I come alone? – This event is intended as team trivia contest. If you are planning to attend on your own, we will be happy to assist you find a team to play with

How many people can play on a team? – To keep the event as fair as possible, we are limiting team sizes to 8 people. In order to facilitate scoring, we will also ask that smaller teams join forces, to create what Pat likes to call a “trivia powerhouse”

Do we need a team name? – YES! You will be required to submit your team name immediately upon arrival, so please give it some thought in advance (funny, timely team names strongly encouraged)

How can I go up onstage with Pat for 1-on-1 trivia? – Upon arrival, EVERYBODY in attendance will receive a raffle ticket for the chance to go onstage with Pat for 1-on-1 trivia throughout the event

Is cheating allowed? – No.

Will there be food? – Yes! Brooklyn’s own Daly Pie will once again be on-hand selling their delicious hand pies

What are the prizes? – Pat will be giving away a huge trove of theme-appropriate prizes throughout the night, which we shall announce closer to the event date

Are tickets still available? – Yes! However, due to demand we strongly recommend purchasing tickets in advance, rather than at the door!
