“Why We Love NYC” Partner Spotlight: Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square

We’re counting down the days to our January 25th NYC pop culture trivia night hosted by Pat Kiernan at Brooklyn’s Bell House, and as we prepare for what will be a tremendously fun event, I want to ensure that all of our partners are recognized for their contributions!

This event is intended to celebrate the reasons why we love living in New York City, and as such we’ve taken great care to work with partners who reflect the heart and soul of Gotham (learn more about why a corporate team building company is hosting a night of NYC pop culture trivia.) Since prizes for the event are “quintessential NYC experiences,” we would be remiss if we didn’t include Times Square into the mix.

It’s literally the center of New York City, and a place that has to be seen with one’s own eyes to be truly believed. No NYC visitor or resident should leave the Big Apple without ever having seen the famous Crossroads of the Universe – even Pat himself makes a point to bring his out-of-town guests directly to Times Square immediately upon arrival, to enjoy the singularly NYC experience.

In addition to the dazzling billboards, Broadway theaters, street vendors and throngs of crowds, Times Square has long been home to unique museums and theme restaurants, the likes of which are rarely found anywhere else. Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium in Times Square fits that mold perfectly, and is in fact a must-visit destination for New Yorkers and out-of-towners alike.

Located right on 42nd Street in the heart of Times Square, the sprawling museum – celebrating the weird, outlandish and bizarre from all over the world – is a truly unique experience. In a self-guided tour, visitors can wander through 20 galleries of stuff that will blow your mind: the largest collection of shrunken heads, actual Olympic torches from bygone eras, a lock of Elvis’s hair, a chunk of the Berlin Wall – even a life-size albino giraffe! You name it, it can likely be found within Ripley’s walls.

On January 25th, we are incredible excited to be giving away passes to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Times Square to several lucky participants – so bone up on your pop culture knowledge of all things NYC, and you may get to visit one of the most memorable places the city has to offer!
