We’re under a week away from our Manhattan trivia night debut with TrivWorks’ “Special Host” Pat Kiernan on Monday, September 24th – an all-NYC themed pop culture extravaganza at Highline Ballroom – and once again will be giving away “quintessential NYC experiences” as prizes for those who demonstrate their NYC pop culture knowledge! As such, we are so thrilled to announce that once again, we will be welcoming Jazz at Lincoln Center as one of our distinguished prize partners!
To get you excited for what will certainly be a trivia night to remember, we are following up on last week’s online trivia contest to see Cyndi Lauper live in Manhattan to announce that we will be holding another online trivia contest later this week, for the chance to see the legendary Toots Thielemans live at JALC!
At age 90, jazzman Jean “Toots” Thielemans is still going strong, playing harmonica with an expansive range and a sound that Herbie Hancock called “haunting and arresting and warm.” Performing live at JALC’s celebrated Rose Theater next Friday, September 28th, Thielemans will be joined by Kenny Werner, Eliane Elias, Oscar Castro-Neves, and others – a “quintessential NYC experience” if ever there was one!
