90s Trivia at The Bell House Partner Spotlight: Dave & Buster’s

dave-and-busters-logoExactly one week from today is our much-awaited 90s-themed trivia night at The Bell House hosted by Pat Kiernan, so I am putting my usual musings about NYC corporate event entertainment, employee team building and experiential marketing events on hold this week, in order to recognize each one of our amazing prize partners!

Our recent online poll to determine the theme of our April 24th event received a tremendous response, with the result overwhelmingly in favor of a 90s pop culture trivia night. Since then, we have been working nonstop to find the most appropriate prize partners for the theme, and today’s prize announcement fits the bill perfectly!

To love the 90s is to love video games and arcades. Many of us who would be excited about a 90s-themed trivia night likely went to more than a few birthday parties at arcades during our time- or more likely, hung out at one during high school/college. Odds are good that your local awesome arcade was a Dave & Buster’s.

The ideal 90s spot for a hang with friends, go on a date or just to have some impromptu fun on a weeknight, Dave & Buster’s holds a special place in the hearts of many Gen X & Y folks (myself included) as we think back fondly to our days as teens & twenty-somethings back the 90s.

When I first discovered Dave & Buster’s, I remember being blown away- not just by the sheer size and energy of the place, but by the simple fact that this was a video arcade where GROWNUPS were supposed to have fun: a bar serving up beer, adult-sized gaming consoles, and great prizes to be redeemed for achievement tickets all struck me as being extremely cool; that I didn’t have to feel silly or immature for wanting to plunk down some change and play alongside some 8-year-olds would whip me anyway. In addition to the classics, 90s-era arcade games such as Dance Dance Revolution and Mortal Kombat were the rage, with people my age literally lined up to both play AND watch the masters at work.

Today, D & B is just as fun, if not better – a perfect place to hold a party for kids or adults, corporate events or just to blow off steam and eat, drink and enjoy the company of friends. On April 24th, to help bring you back in time to relive your 90s nostalgia glory, we are so thrilled to be partnering with Dave & Buster’s of Times Square! A select number of attendees will be taking home some truly fantastic D & B prize packages, including gift certificates, “Power Cards” and other surprises. Kind of makes me wish I could play and win, too…!
