New Prize Announcement for 90s Trivia Night: SISTER ACT The Musical!

We’re a little under a month away from our second 90s-themed trivia night with TrivWorks “Special Host” Pat Kiernan in Brooklyn at The Bell House, and ever since holding an online poll to determine the event’s theme, we have been working double-time to line up some truly great prizes which are appropriate for a 90s trivia night.

As a professional event planner with a passion for creating unique & memorable experiences, I love any opportunity to take brands or stories “offline” through experiential marketing events in NYC or elsewhere, providing passionate enthusiasts or potential new users with “touch points” that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to have. Broadway adaptations of movies are really a wonderful example of this, and allow audiences to engage with something familiar in a new and distinctive way.

As such, it is with great pleasure to share today that SISTER ACT The Musical will be joining us as a 90s trivia night prize partner!

Now in its second year on the Great White Way, SISTER ACT The Musical is a highly entertaining adaptation of the early-90s comedy film starring Whoopie Goldberg. Those who enjoyed the laugh-a-minute pace of the movie will no doubt have a blast at this creative, up-close and personal musical version of the 90s classic. Viewers will get to relive the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a would-be professional singer who’s life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime, and is subsequently hidden by the police in a convent. Under the suspicious eye of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her “fellow” nuns to achieve their greatest singing potential – while she unexpectedly rediscovers her own.

Seeing how our event is about pop culture trivia, it is fitting that SISTER ACT The Musical was recently featured on perhaps the most influential pop culture TV show of all time, Saturday Night Live. Not to be outdone, the cast of SISTER ACT The Musical released this hilarious response video of their own:
